Make Me a Rag Doll, delivered with Creative Flare Yorkshire as part of Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, was a creative project exploring identity through the lens of childhood toys. The project invited participants to reflect on how the representation and appearance of toys influence perceptions of identity, belonging and self-image into adulthood. Through a series of creative workshops and making processes, participants engaged in discussions and developed their own responses, resulting in work that highlighted personal narratives and collective experiences.

My approach to community engagement is rooted in collaboration, care and responsiveness to place. I work closely with communities, artists and creative practitioners to develop projects that are shaped by lived experience and local context. This involves creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where people feel comfortable to share, explore ideas and participate in creative processes. Through workshops, facilitation and co-creation, I support the development of work that builds connections, amplifies diverse voices and results in meaningful, shared outcomes.
