Creative Business Development & Sector Sustainability
Bradford Culture Company | Bradford 2025 City Of Culture Legacy Programme | 2026
Over 50 creative practitioners supported | More than 250 hours of professional development and tailored support
As part of Bradford 2025's cultural legacy, I developed and led a business development programme addressing the long term sustainability of Bradford's creative sector, connecting artistic ambition with the practical realities of building resilient creative careers and organisations.
I established and managed partnerships with the University of Bradford, Arts Council England, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund, bringing together institutional expertise, funding knowledge and specialist business support.
I designed and produced a programme of professional development exploring creative income generation, sustainable business models, marketing, partnership development and the practical and ethical implications of artificial intelligence for creative practitioners.
Alongside specialist fundraising surgeries, I commissioned and managed business and artist consultants while delivering direct individual support, helping practitioners navigate funding, strengthen project proposals and develop their professional ambitions.
Through this programme, I brought together strategic planning, institutional partnerships and direct practitioner support to strengthen the infrastructure and future sustainability of Bradford's creative sector.
